DRESSING IN A METALLIC. While metallics have been pretty major this year, the fashion trend is hitting its apex right about…now. We’re talking about New Year’s Eve dresses! Seek styles with delicate details that catch the light for a elegant look. Or This New Years, why not suit up (it doesn’t have to be in metallics head to toe!), find a glam metallic look and have fun!

RED IS THE COLOUR. A very funny yet significant customs prevails among the Spanish during New Year- wearing red colored, underwear pieces in special. Red is a symbol of good luck and prosperity andis perfect to welcome the new year.

THE COOL WAY TO WEAR A PARTY OUTFIT IS WITH AN OVERSIZED COAT. Ringing in the New Year in style means more than the right dress and heels. The ideal outfit includes a festive coat worthy of the occasion—it is January after all and you should celebrate 2016 in style, instead of with goosebumps.

Would you like to know how we see in the New Year in Tenerife?
In mostly places, 31 December is a very special celebration, where the fun and partying go on well into the early hours. Here we have a singular tradition:
• Tradition has it that you have to eat twelve grapes one by one, in time with the striking of the clock at midnight on 31 December. What is more, if you manage to eat all the grapes on time, you are in for a year of prosperity and good luck. In many villages, towns and cities, people head to squares or other emblematic places with a clock to eat them together and share the last minutes of the “old” year.
• The streets fill with groups of young people, music and cars that greet the New Year with their horns.
• At pubs, bars and clubs there are New Year’s parties with dancing through to dawn.
• There are also many hotels and restaurants that organise special celebrations, including dinner, grapes, dancing and entertainment. If you decide to go for one of these, you should buy your ticket or book your table in advance.
We wish you the best in 2017!
